PP Garlic flatbread with seasoned Quark

So I am hooked on my Dukan Pizza for dinner... but today is a PP day!
Solution: Make Garlic bread and 'sour cream'
How?

Put 3 cloves of garlic in the oven while you prepare the same mix as the Pizza base

2 tbsp (30g) oat bran
1 tbsp (6g) wheat bran
1 whole egg (or just the egg white if you are watching your cholesterol)
1 babybel light cheddar cheese broken into smaller pieces
1 tbsp (10-12g) skimmed milk powder
water to make a thick runny mix (no more than 100ml)
Take out garlic, slice or smash and mix in, pepper to taste
Place mix on grease proof paper to bake as with Pizza base
Set oven to 200F
mix the above and pour on greeseproof paper on a baking sheet
Place in oven for 10- 15 min till underside is dry
.
While that is baking, take quark and season with chive and pepper.
Cut up some chicken or ham or any other allowed PP topping if you wish.

Turn flatbread over and smear with the seasoned quark then top with 'meaty topping.'
Leave in oven for further a 5 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!

  1. Yummy... I want to point out though that you don't have to NOT eat egg yolks if you are watching your cholesterol... egg yolks are good for you and have no effect on BAD cholesterol or LDL as it's called. Doctors still say that they are bad for you, but my doc admits to only 1/2 a day of nutrition education in her entire medical schooling... scary :) Eat eggs, all of them, to your hearts content!

  2. Thanks for that! I often worry because I have 2 eggs as a rush meal/ snack and still use eggs (often without the yolks for my baking)...but when the yolks fall in, I don't remove them.
    I will stop spreading incorrect news about egg yolks!!!
