The real challenge begins here!

I started the Dukan diet on Monday 26th July after consulting the dukan diet website. It advised 2 days of attack and though I didn't particularly shop for it, I successfully survived attack and proceeded to cruise.
I quickly compiled a list of websites that I now consider invaluable to any potential Dukaner who wants to go it alone, rather than subscribe to the coaching offered on the dukan diet site. Please find my list of sites below:

Four years ago, I went on my first real diet...Lighter Life...and succeeded in losing 3 stone in 100days! It certainly did what it said on the tin...but at a cost to me.
I do not refer to the cost here because I had decided that the payments were reasonable and worth the intended outcome. I am referring to Brain Freeze at a crucial time in some postgraduate studies...It set me back 2 years! Worse still was the fact that after struggling on for a further 3 months and not losing any weight due to what I now know was self sabotage, I rapidly gained two thirds of the weight  I lost, once I started to eat real food!
I was agonising over reaching a fast looming milestone of gaining all the weight back when a very dear friend hinted me about the existence of this diet. The name was enough because I was able to conduct an internet search that set me off!

A diet using real food! A ketogenic diet...Burning my own fat, while eating real food!... No deprivations or hunger, just an opportunity to shrink my appetite if and when I wanted,  whenever I was ready and a sure way of achieving weightloss!

The ticker tape below summarises my weight loss thus far:

or for those who prefer the kilo as a unit of weight measurement:

As you may have worked out, I am roughly back to the lowest weight I achieved while on Lighter Life. going further towards my goal weight involves the breaking of new ground- uncharted terriitory so far!
I will have to resist the temptation to self sabotage.
Wish me luck!

I update my tape on Wednesdays.  Watch this space.

Last week was half term and I decided to celebrate all week eating healthy foods but the full range. I ate plantains roasted in the oven, I ate beans, lots of high salted protein dishes e.g. kalamari pepper soup, crab pepper soup and I also ate flapjacks as well as the odd brioche roll. The sum total of that is that this morning, I awoke with wheezing, itchy eyes, a funny belly etc and the scales confirmed my greatest fear...200.6 lbs... a gain of 5 lbs
I put my latest information into a new consultancy on dukandiet.co.uk as though I was just starting out and found a solution: restart by doing 5 days of attack! So here goes...
